About NBA 2K20
NBA 2K20 is a simulation and sports game, made by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. It came out on 6 Sep 2019. You can play it single player, multiplayer, player versus player, online player versus player, co-op, online co-op, split-screen co-op or split screen. It works fully with a controller and has in-game purchases.
What NBA 2K20 needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs almost any graphics, even the graphics built into the processor, and to play it well the makers suggest basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card, with 8GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 450 1GB / AMD® Radeon™ HD 7770 1GB or better | NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770 2GB / AMD® Radeon™ R9 270 2GB or better |
| Processor | Intel® Core™ i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD FX-4100 @ 3.60 GHz or better | Intel® Core™ i5-4430 @ 3 GHz / AMD FX-8370 @ 3.4 GHz or better |
| Memory (RAM) | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Storage | 80 GB available space | 80 GB available space |

Will my computer play NBA 2K20?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
This is a light game: almost any of our gaming PCs will run it comfortably at high settings.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
Our PCs that meet the recommended spec
These should play NBA 2K20 well. Cheapest first.

Questions about NBA 2K20 on PC
What graphics card do I need for NBA 2K20?
The makers say the minimum is NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 450 1GB / AMD® Radeon™ HD 7770 1GB or better, and they recommend NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770 2GB / AMD® Radeon™ R9 270 2GB or better. In plain words: basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card for a good experience.
How much memory (RAM) does NBA 2K20 need?
At least 4GB, and 8GB is recommended. 16GB is the sensible amount for a gaming PC today.
Is NBA 2K20 multiplayer?
Yes. You can play it single player, multiplayer, player versus player, online player versus player, co-op, online co-op, split-screen co-op or split screen.
Can a gaming PC from Sandbox Computers run NBA 2K20?
Yes. 114 of our PCs meet the recommended spec, from £599. They are built and tested in Worcester.
How we match: we compare the graphics card and the memory in each PC with the makers' spec, because those decide most of how a game runs. For very new or demanding games, ask us and we will check the processor too. More help: graphics cards explained, how much RAM, which screen.
