Privacy and cookies
Short version: this site sets no cookies and does not track you. It counts visits without knowing who you are, and does not collect your details.
Who runs this site
Gaming-computers.co.uk is run by Sandbox Computers, 53 Tunnel Hill, Worcester WR4 9SD. E-mail info@sandboxcomputers.com.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Test my PC and the search boxes
When you use Test my PC, the graphics card, processor and memory you enter are sent with the page so we can work out the answer. They are not saved, and nothing about you is attached to them. On most computers the page finds the graphics card itself, using what your web browser reports; it stays on the page until you press the button.
So you do not have to type them again on the next game, your browser keeps what you entered on your own device (in its "local storage", which is not a cookie and is never sent to us by itself). Press "Forget these details" under the box to clear it at any time.
Counting visits
We count how many times each page is opened, which games are looked up, which website sent the visit (for example Google or our shop), and how many clicks go on to our shop. To count visitors as well as pages, the server mixes your device's address and browser name with a random key that changes every day, and keeps only the scrambled result. It cannot be turned back into your address, and because the key is thrown away each day, one day's visits cannot be linked to another's. Each morning the day is reduced to totals and the detailed list is deleted. No cookies are used for this.
What our web host records
Like every website, the computer that serves these pages keeps a short technical log (the address your device connects from, the page asked for and the time). It is used only to keep the site working and safe.
When you go to our shop
Links on this site take you to our shop, sandboxcomputers.com. The links say they came from this site, so we can see how many people this site sends us; they carry nothing about you. Once you are on the shop, the shop's own privacy policy and cookie policy apply.
